Under the agreement, VNPAY and Napaswill leverage their respective capabilities to deliver payment services designed to be secure, flexible, and scalable, supporting commercial activities, tourism, and broader financial integration.
As part of the partnership, the two parties identified strengthening professional capacity and advancing technology development as key priorities. They plan to increase exchanges of experience and coordinate training programs in electronic payments to standardize operational processes, improve workforce quality, and enhance adaptability to rapid technological and financial changes.
In parallel, both sides will step up research and development and apply emerging technologies to deploy updated payment solutions. The objective is to build secure and scalable systems capable of responding to market demand while reinforcing Vietnam’s digital payment infrastructure.
A central component of the cooperation is the implementation of cross-border QR payment services. The initiative is intended to facilitate transactions for international visitors to Vietnam as well as Vietnamese users traveling abroad.
In the initial phase, tourists from markets such as Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia will be able to use their domestic payment applications at VNPAY QR acceptance points in Vietnam, with further market expansion planned. Vietnamese users will also be able to make payments via the VNPAY app at overseas acceptance points within the cooperation network.
The two companies stated that by combining their technological foundations and resources, they aim to provide more integrated payment services, improve service quality, enhance user experience, and offer competitive cost structures for businesses and consumers.
