Tiny Away Escape at Lazarus Island, a staycation facility in Singapore which comprises little cottages, has announced that it would shut down in January 2027 after three years of service.
The company announced on Instagram that reservations for its tiny houses will remain open until Jan. 31, 2027.

“Since opening in May 2023, this little island stay has been part of many meaningful moments, including special memories shared by paw parents and their fur kids,” it said.
“As this chapter begins to wind down, there is still time for a few more ferry rides, quiet walks by the shore, and peaceful mornings on the island.”
Tiny Away Escape at Lazarus Island is developed by Singapore-based ecotourism start-up Big Tiny, and forms part of the Sentosa Development Corporation’s broader plans to promote eco-tourism across the Southern Islands, according to AsiaOne.
The site comprises five tiny houses built from sustainable materials such as recycled plastic and wood fiber, powered primarily by solar energy.
Each unit, measuring about 14 square meters, can accommodate between two and four guests, including pets, and features distinct themes such as retro, industrial and modern. Nightly rates start from SGD284 (US$220).
In response to queries from The Straits Times, Big Tiny Group said that the closure of its location on Lazarus Island was a result of its “concession agreement with Sentosa Development Corporation reaching its natural, fixed-term conclusion.”
“This has always been the planned timeline,” it said, adding that the closure was not “performance-related.”
