Ducati has temporarily stopped selling its motorbikes in Vietnam and is looking for a new dealer.
“Customers’ requests for new products will be recorded and later transferred to a new distributor,” a person familiar with the matter told VnExpress.
The previous dealer, CT-Wearnes, has not imported from the Italian company since the beginning of this year.
The only Ducati showroom in the country, in Ho Chi Minh City, has no vehicle left for sale.
It continues to offer maintenance services, however.
The Italian company closed its only northern showroom in Hanoi in April saying its performance was poorer than expected.

Ducati, based in Bologna, Italy, entered Vietnam in 2009, first opening a showroom in HCMC’s District 1.
CT-Wearnes became its third distributor in Vietnam in August 2020.
The company also imported and distributed India’s Royal Enfield motorcycles but pulled out of that deal too in September 2024.
Distributors position Ducati above Japanese competitors like Honda and Yamaha, resulting in higher prices.
Its products span various segments, including classic, naked bike, sportbike, and adventure.
The Scrambler is among its cheapest models and is priced at around VND380 million (US$14,500).
