Four people have been arrested in HCMC for selling 10,000 bottles of fake Chanel, Versace, Burberry and other perfumes for VND10 billion (US$386,400) by claiming they were genuine.
A police campaign found three warehouses in the city linked to Le Thi Kim Tuyen, 36, and three others with a large quantity of counterfeit cosmetics.

Preliminary investigations revealed that since the beginning of 2025 the group had sold more than 10,000 bottles of perfumes, mostly online.
The police said the cosmetics had not undergone quality inspection and pose potential health risks, including the possibility of causing chronic illnesses if used over a long period.

The economic police division warned that as shopping demand rises ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday, consumers should pay attention to product origins when buying online.
They urged e-commerce platforms to commit to not distributing fake goods and to cooperate with authorities to ensure transparency in product sourcing.
