Vietnam gasoline prices Thursday afternoon rose to the highest since April 3.
The popular fuel RON95 went up 1.37% to VND19,960 (US$0.77). Biofuel E5 RON92 gained 1.04% to VND19,460.
Diesel increased by 1.61% to VND17,700.
Regulators said that fuel prices in the past seven days have been influenced by various factors, such as escalating tensions between the U.S. and Iran (an OPEC member) in nuclear negotiations, a decline in U.S. crude oil inventories, changes in U.S. tax policies with trading partners, and escalating military conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
RON95 went up 1.8% to $79.7 per barrel, while diesel increased by 1.95% to $81.51.
