Vietnam gold prices rose marginally Tuesday morning as the precious metal increased in value globally.
Saigon Jewelry Company gold bar went up 0.66% to VND151.5 million (US$5,759.80) per tael. A tael equals 37.5 grams or 1.2 ounces.
Gold ring added 0.33% to VND152 million per tael. Gold prices in Vietnam have fallen 0.85% since the beginning of the year.
Globally gold prices edged higher on Tuesday as a preliminary U.S.-Iran peace agreement eased concerns of rate hike by the Federal Reserve, while investors awaited further details on the deal, Reuters reported.
Spot gold was up 0.3% at $4,317.43 per ounce, and looked set to extend gains to a fourth straight session.
