He was elected to the board of directors for the 2025-30 term at an extraordinary general meeting held by the airline on Tuesday. The new board then convened and named him chairman.
The 30-year-old is also the vice chairman of T&T Group and chairman of Hanoi FC, a football club in Vietnam’s V.League 1.
He has been in the public eye as the youngest chairman of a football club, at age 25, and husband of the 2016 Miss Vietnam Do My Linh.

Three months ago T&T Group announced that two of its subsidiaries and fund management firm BVIM had become Vietravel Airlines’ strategic shareholders.
Quang’s older brother, Do Quang Vinh, is a member of the airline’s board and BVIM’s chairman.
In a statement after assuming his new role, Quang hoped the new board would lead the company into a new phase of development and to new heights.
T&T plans for the carrier to play a key role in its infrastructure, logistics and aviation projects.
It earlier started construction of the Quang Tri Airport in July 2024 at an estimated cost of VND5.8 trillion (US$226 million).
Vietravel Airlines was approved by the government in April 2020 and had its first commercial flight in early 2021.

After the Covid-19 pandemic it has been facing difficulties related to its fleet, route network and flight slots, and is seeking funding to support its development.
It has yet to see major improvements since T&T and its related businesses became its strategic partners.
According to data from the Civil Aviation Authority, in the first two months of 2025 Vietravel Airlines had the lowest number of flights among carriers in the market. It operated 617 flights in January and 444 in February.
It flies from Hanoi and HCMC to Da Nang, Quy Nhon, Nha Trang, and Phu Quoc and to Bangkok in neighboring Thailand.
