This was followed by subsequent flights from Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang to Phu Quoc, marking the beginning of regular service.
The three domestic routes — Phu Quoc – Hanoi, Phu Quoc – Ho Chi Minh City, and Hanoi – Ho Chi Minh City — will be officially operated on a regular basis starting November 1, 2025. The Da Nang–Phu Quoc route is set to begin regular operations in March 2026.
Nguyen Manh Quan, CEO of Sun Phu Quoc Airways, said Nov. 1 is a milestone for both Sun Group and the airline. “The launch of this new carrier not only marks the beginning of our aviation services but also introduces a unique travel experience that integrates aviation and tourism. This model will enhance Phu Quoc’s connectivity as a premier travel destination,” Quan said.
In celebration of the inaugural flights, passengers received special “1st Flight” boarding cards and souvenir gifts featuring the airline’s iconic Sun emblem. They were also treated to a special pastry by Maison Kayser, the renowned French bakery with a nearly 30-year global heritage.

Minh Anh, a passenger from Hanoi, shared that she booked her ticket as soon as sales opened to be part of the airline’s inaugural flight. She praised the thoughtful service and attention to detail.
Hoang Nga, a passenger from Ho Chi Minh City, was impressed with the elegant uniforms of the cabin crew. The mocha-colored outfits with deep red accessories and modern silhouettes reflected both professionalism and warmth, she noted.
