Tourism giant Sun Group plans to launch a US$2-billion casino and resort complex in the northern province of Quang Ninh in 2032.
Developed by Van Don Jsc, a subsidiary, the 245-hectare project is mainly on forest land with one side facing the sea in the Van Don economic zone in the border province of Quang Ninh, according to details provided by the developer to the government for environmental impact assessment.
The company claimed the development complies with environment regulations.
The casino will have 214 gambling tables and 2,140 slot machines.

The complex will have hotels and resorts of up to 30 floors, office buildings, a museum, and a number of art and amusement venues.
Its license will be for no more than 70 years.
Quang Ninh Province expects the project to contribute more than VND228 trillion ($9.6 billion) to its coffers during the 70-year period and employ 6,000 workers.
