Stavian Recycling JSC was officially awarded the Investment Registration Certificate for the Stavian Plastic Recycling Complex at the Nghi Son Economic Zone in Thanh Hoa, in the presence of representatives from the Nghi Son Economic Zone Authority.
The complex will be located at Lot CN2-1 in the Nghi Son Economic Zone’s industrial park, one of north central Vietnam’s key industrial hubs, featuring advanced infrastructure, strategic logistics, and seamless access to the domestic recycled materials supply chain.
The project will be equipped with state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly, energy- and water-efficient technologies, and will be highly automated to meet the strictest global environmental and quality standards set by leading FMCG brands in the U.S. and Europe.

In its first phase, the Stavian Plastic Recycling Complex is set to operate with an estimated capacity of 17,000 tons per year, focusing on recycling post-consumer PET bottles into high-quality rPET resins that meet food-grade standards. These products will supply multinational corporations and major beverage and packaging brands, supporting the growth of Vietnam’s circular economy. The complex is scheduled to begin operations in Q1 2027, strengthening the domestic supply of raw materials, reducing reliance on virgin plastics, encouraging community recycling habits, and supporting the creation of a globally aligned waste sorting and collection ecosystem.
Stavian Recycling JSC also signed a Land Handover Agreement with Anh Phat Investment Construction–Trading JSC, one of the region’s largest and most reputable industrial infrastructure developers, with a portfolio of major industrial parks and comprehensive logistics solutions.
The project site is strategically located along a central transportation corridor, just 6 km from the CT01 Expressway and about 10 km from Nghi Son Deep-Sea Port, providing significant advantages for the transport of raw materials and the export of finished products. Alongside the land handover, Stavian Recycling is moving forward with the next phases of the project, including contractor selection for design and construction. Groundbreaking is planned for Q4 2025, with project completion targeted to meet the committed timeline.

With a long-term vision aligned to ESG standards and Vietnam’s EPR policy, the Stavian Plastic Recycling Complex is expected to deliver lasting positive impacts across environmental, social, and economic dimensions.
Environmentally, the complex is projected to process hundreds of millions of post-consumer plastic bottles annually, reducing more than 30,000 tons of CO2 equivalent emissions each year compared to virgin plastic production, and helping to combat plastic pollution in ecosystems, rivers, and oceans.
Socially, the project will help develop a comprehensive plastic waste collection and sorting system, creating numerous direct and indirect jobs for local workers, improving livelihoods, and raising environmental awareness in the community. Economically, the complex will supply high-quality rPET resins to leading brands in Vietnam and the region, boosting value throughout the plastics supply chain, driving exports, and supporting the development of Vietnam’s green materials industry.
Commenting on the green transition, Tony Dinh Duc Thang, Chairman and CEO of Stavian Group, said that receiving the Investment Registration Certificate for the Stavian Plastic Recycling Complex marks a significant start in the group’s mission to develop a modern, integrated, and sustainable recycling facility in Vietnam.
“This project is not just an industrial development, but also a strong, long-term commitment from Stavian Group to support national green growth, promote the circular economy, and help achieve Net Zero targets,” Tony said. “We believe Stavian Recycling will help transform mindsets around sustainable materials, add value to Vietnam’s plastics industry, and inspire a recycling culture among both communities and businesses.”
As a key member of Stavian Group, a leading multinational in industrial production, technology, and global trade, the Stavian Plastic Recycling Complex is aligned with the Group’s goal to “green” all business and manufacturing activities. The implementation of this project demonstrates Stavian Group’s strong commitment to pioneering the circular economy, transforming Vietnam’s plastics sector, and contributing meaningfully to the country’s Net Zero goal by 2050.
