Singaporeans aged 21 to 59 starting Tuesday can claim their SGD600 (US$468) SG60 vouchers as the national celebrates six decades of independence.
“The SG60 vouchers are a heartfelt way to express our appreciation to fellow Singaporeans for their contributions to 60 years of nation-building,” Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry Low Yen Ling said in a Facebook post.

These vouchers can be used at over 23,000 hawkers and heartland merchants, as well as eight supermarket chains with 400 outlets in the country.
They can be claimed online and are valid until the end of 2026.
Since July 1, more than 915,000 Singaporeans aged 60 and above, representing over 83% of the nation’s 1.1 million seniors, have claimed their SGD800 SG60 vouchers.
Low reported that over SGD127 million has been spent so far.
All eligible Singaporeans will also receive a specially designed SG60 postcard showcasing six unique artworks by seven differently abled artists, accompanied by a personal message from Prime Minister Lawrence Wong
The SG60 voucher initiative is estimated to cost the government SGD2.02 billion.
Low highlighted that “the SG60 vouchers have fostered a strong sense of community, with individuals from all walks of life coming together to assist those who need help with the claiming and spending of vouchers.”
With National Day approaching, Low encouraged Singaporeans to patronize local neighborhood businesses.
She also cautioned against scams, emphasizing that “no banking details are needed to redeem vouchers.”
