Singapore Red Cross is running an event that gives a free Pop Mart blind box to people donating blood at certain blood banks in the city-state.
The event runs from Oct. 27 to Nov. 7 at three locations, Bloodbank@Woodlands, Bloodbank@Westgate Tower and Bloodbank@One Punggol, according to an Instagram post by Blood Buddy, a Singapore Red Cross initiative aimed at engaging younger blood donors.
The giveaway originally spanned six days earlier in October but was extended due to popular demand, the post said.
Donors can receive a blind box by quoting Group Code R0164 when registering and completing a blood donation at any of the specified blood banks during the period. While supplies last, one box will be given at random once the donation is completed, per AsiaOne.
Available blind box figures include Sweet Bean, Hello Kitty, Yuki Evolution and Baby Molly, according to Mothership.

The extended event comes just days after Singapore Red Cross warned that blood stocks for type A- are at critical levels and urged people of that type to donate.
The organization earlier said at an event in late June that the city-state’s ageing population poses a challenge for blood banks as people aged 60 and above now account for 60% of red blood cell demand while eligible donors are becoming scarcer, as reported by The Straits Times.
The number of new blood donors has fallen by over 11% since 2013, with about 18,000 first-time donors in 2024 as against more than 20,000 in 2013. Of those who do donate, only around four in ten give blood more than once a year.
