Philippine fast food chain Jollibee has launched its 200th location in Vietnam, its largest international market.
The outlet, opened on Thursday, is located in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 6, according to the firm’s Facebook post.

The chain has opened 40 new stores in the country this year and plans to soon hit the 300 store milestone, The Business Times quoted Lam Hong Nguyen, managing director of Jollibee Vietnam, as saying on Thursday.
Its profits and sales there are expected to grow at double-digit rates this year, he added.
Ernesto Tanmantiong, CEO of Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC) – the fast food chain’s parent company, said that the firm has ambitious plans in Vietnam, as quoted by Bloomberg.
“We will continue to open more stores and become the number one quick-service restaurant brand in the country, around the world,” he said during his visit to HCMC to attend the 200th store launch.
JFC currently manages a portfolio of 19 brands, which includes Vietnam’s Highlands Coffee.
Jollibee debuted in Vietnam in 2005, growing its network to 50 outlets by 2014 and 100 by 2018.
Vietnam hosts the highest number of Jollibee outlets outside the Philippines, which had 1,259 stores as of the end of September.
Jollibee ranks as the third-largest quick-service restaurant chain in Vietnam, trailing South Korea’s Lotteria and America’s KFC.
