Beyond the viral momentum, it has emerged as a vibrant hub for culture, entertainment, and lifestyle, drawing large crowds and reshaping the regional tourism scene.
What began as a trending topic has grown into a consistent tourist magnet, welcoming hundreds of thousands of visitors each week. Major events such as the Anh Trai Vuot Ngan Chong Gai concert with 130,000 attendees in a single day, the Korea Travel Festa with 30,000 guests, and the Vincom 20th Anniversary Concert with 20,000 participants have contributed to a notable milestone: over 12 million visitors in 2024.

Ocean City’s appeal lies in its year-round programming, with a steady schedule of retail, cultural, and entertainment activities. Daily events such as art performances, community gatherings, and promotional campaigns help maintain visitor engagement and encourage longer stays.
Its business ecosystem has matured, demonstrating operational stability and robust commercial performance. Nearly 1,000 stores operate across themed areas like The Venice, K-Town, Little Hong Kong, and Sake Village. These areas report strong foot traffic, especially during weekends and holidays, with many brands across fashion, beauty, F&B, and entertainment sectors exceeding revenue expectations. Ocean City has proven to be not just visually appealing but also a high-performing commercial destination.

For residents like Cho Ducksang, a South Korean national who has lived in Vietnam for nine years, Ocean City offers more than just a place to live. It is a destination that supports a full lifestyle, offering relaxation, social interaction, and community spirit. Cho describes his routine as starting with a swim, followed by fishing on the weekends and vibrant nights with friends in Little Hong Kong.
“I once joined a BBQ festival at Sake Village – grilled meats, cold beer, and great friends. It was truly enjoyable,” he recalled. “Even when friends arrive late from Korea, we can always find open restaurants in Little Hong Kong. We’ve shared many memorable evenings there.”
He also appreciates the regular community events such as live music and street performances, which bring the area to life daily.

These experiences help shape Ocean City not just as a residential development but as a dynamic urban destination where residents and visitors contribute to a shared, evolving identity. The customer experience is driven by consistent operations and continuous updates, rather than architecture alone.
Looking ahead, Ocean City is set to expand its appeal with the launch of Vincom Mega Mall Ocean City in 2025. This new commercial complex, covering nearly 70,000 square meters, is positioned to be a cornerstone of the “One-Stop Shoppertainment” model in Vietnam. The mall is expected to enrich the visitor journey through shopping, entertainment, dining, and relaxation.
Featuring four experience pillars – Show, Shop, Food, and Fun – the mall introduces several first-of-its-kind amenities in the country. Among them is VinPalace, Vietnam’s first theater inside a shopping mall, with 1,600 seats, advanced production technology, and stage shows inspired by Vietnamese folklore, supported by a combined investment of over $13 million.
For the first time in northern Vietnam, a full-scale Korean-style wellness complex will also open within the mall. Aquafield, spanning over 3,700 square meters, will offer sauna, jjimjilbang, and specialized massage services, blending wellness and retail in a single space.
The mall will also feature more than 150 domestic and international brands, including AEON, Mr. D.I.Y., CGV, Kidzooona, and Phuong Nam Book City.

Vincom Mega Mall Ocean City is expected to reinforce the momentum that has made Ocean City a top trending destination. With its expansive scale, distinctive amenities, and experiential design, the mall is positioned to be a new focal point for contemporary urban living.
“More than just a place to shop or explore, it is expected to become a transformative journey—where every visit is an opportunity to indulge, express, and rediscover oneself through immersive, memorable moments,” said a Vinhomes representative.
