The activities were part of a working program between a USABC business delegation and the Vietnamese government held from April 13 to 17.
During the program, Julian Cacchioli, Vice President of Government and External Affairs for EMEA, India and Asia Pacific at Herbalife, joined representatives of major U.S. companies in meetings with the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Industry and Trade, National Assembly, and Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The program concluded with a meeting with the Prime Minister.

In addition to participating in policy dialogues, Herbalife was among the gold sponsors of the celebration marking the 250th anniversary of the United States and the Innovation and Sustainable Development Dialogue organized by USABC.
At the event, the company presented its approach to integrating sustainability principles into its global operations, including responsible business practices, digital transformation initiatives, and community engagement programs. Herbalife said sustainability remains a key component of its long-term strategy across the 95 markets in which it operates.

During discussions with the Ministry of Health, Herbalife highlighted the role of science-based nutrition in supporting preventive healthcare and improving quality of life, reflecting growing interest in health and wellness solutions in Vietnam.
In meetings with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the National Assembly, and other government agencies, company representatives expressed their intention to continue participating in policy discussions and contributing to efforts aimed at fostering a transparent and sustainable business environment.
Following the USABC program, Herbalife also held a bilateral meeting with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. According to the ministry, the nearly 15-year relationship between the two sides has evolved from sponsorship activities into broader cooperation supporting sports and community development initiatives.
Over the years, Herbalife has provided nutrition support for Vietnam’s national sports teams and accompanied athletes at major competitions, including the SEA Games, Asian Games, Olympic Games, and Paralympic Games. The company has also participated in programs promoting physical activity and raising awareness of healthy lifestyles.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed initiatives aimed at encouraging regular exercise among the public. Herbalife expressed its interest in continuing to support programs designed to improve community health and well-being.
Representatives of the company and the ministry also exchanged views on potential cooperation in career development and transition support for athletes after retirement.
Julian Cacchioli said Vietnam remains one of Herbalife’s key markets in the region and reaffirmed the company’s long-term commitment to supporting initiatives related to nutrition, sports, and sustainable development.
According to the company, these efforts are intended to contribute to improving quality of life and promoting healthier communities in Vietnam.
