It targets carrying 19.3 million passengers this year and earning profits of more than VND20.7 billion on revenues of VND878.4. In the first half it achieved 48% and 45% of the targets profit and revenue.
The company is exploring initiatives to enhance passenger convenience, boost revenues and reduce reliance on government subsidies.
By 2030 the capital hopes to have 10 metro routes running 417 km. But construction of the remaining eight lines are yet to get underway.
In July the city People’s Committee directed relevant agencies to accelerate efforts to ensure work begins on two of the lines in the last quarter of this year.
