Vietnam gasoline prices increased on Thursday afternoon following last week’s decline.
The popular fuel RON95 rose by 0.95% to VND20,090 (77 U.S. cents).
Biofuel E5 RON92 gained 1.08% to VND19,650. Diesel went up by 2.34% to VND18,830.
Fuel prices in the last seven days were influenced by several factors, such as escalating tensions in the Red Sea and the U.S.’ tariffs on certain commodities and trade partners, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Geopolitical and economic fluctuations have led to an upward trend in global fuel prices.
The average price of a barrel of RON 95 gasoline was 1.1% higher at $80.5. Similarly, diesel increased by 1.9%.
