Vietnam gasoline prices rose Thursday afternoon to the highest since the start of the year.
The popular fuel RON95 went up 1.13% to VND18,840 (US$0.72) per liter.
Biofuel E5 RON92 gained 0.27% to VND18,330.
Diesel increased by 2.66% to VND18,170.
Globally the fuel market in recent days has been influenced by factors including tensions between the U.S. and Iran, a sharper-than-expected decline in oil inventories in the U.S., and a weakening U.S. dollar, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
RON95 went up 1.7% to $73.6 per barrel while diesel added 3.4%.
