Lewis Hamilton, the seven-time Formula 1 world champion, revealed that he has sold off his entire supercar collection, which was reportedly worth an estimated GBP13 million (US$17.5 million).
“I don’t have any cars anymore,” Hamilton told reporters last Thursday ahead of the 2025 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, as quoted by Motorsport. “I got rid of all my cars. I’m more into art nowadays. If I was going to get a car, it would be the F40. But that’s a nice piece of art.”

Hamilton is widely regarded as one of the greatest Formula 1 drivers, having won seven World Championships (tied with Michael Schumacher’s record) and holding the record for the most wins, among others.
His collection of rare, high-performance machines had long attracted attention. But as a committed vegan who has been an outspoken advocate for environmental issues, the 40-year-old said in 2019 that he had begun letting go of some of his cars and moving toward hybrid or electric models. He has also sold his private jet.
“I don’t drive any of the cars that I own anymore. I only drive my (electric Mercedes) EQC,” The Independent quoted him as saying in 2020, when he was still at Mercedes.
Before parting ways with them, Hamilton was believed to have amassed a garage of supercars worth about GBP13 million, split between his homes in Monaco and Los Angeles.
Though the full lineup was never publicly verified, some of the expensive cars he has been seen driving or has previously confirmed owning included a rare Ferrari 599 SA Aperta, one of just 80 ever built and valued at more than GBP2 million, and a classic Ford Mustang Shelby, estimated at over GBP4 million, The Mirror reported.
