The 200 tanks, each with a capacity of 1,000 liters, were delivered to 100 households in the district, providing much-needed relief to local residents facing water shortages. This initiative underscores the company’s commitment to social responsibility and sustainable development, with a focus on environmental protection, community welfare, and climate change.

Can Giuoc District, located in the downstream area of Long An, has long faced the challenges of saline intrusion and drought, especially during the dry season. Due to its proximity to river mouths and the influence of the Vam Co river system, the district frequently experiences high salinity levels, which severely impact both domestic water supply and agricultural production.
According to the People’s Committee of Can Giuoc District, approximately 6,150 households in five communes suffered from a lack of clean water during the 2024 dry season, requiring up to 520 cubic meters of water per day. This shortage disrupted residents’ lives and caused significant losses to agriculture, particularly rice and fruit farming.
The primary causes of saline intrusion in the district are reduced upstream flow from the Mekong River and rising sea levels due to climate change. Prolonged heatwaves have exacerbated the drought, leading to contaminated wells and depleted water reserves. Many households have had to wait in long lines at public water distribution points to access clean water.
In response, EZLand partnered with Les Enfants Du Dragon (a French NGO) and the Union of Friendship Organizations of Long An Province to launch a program providing 200 rainwater storage tanks to 100 of the most affected households in Can Giuoc District’s three communes: Long Hau, Tan Tap, and Phuoc Lai. This program is part of EZLand’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts for the 2025-2030 period.

At the donation ceremony, an EZLand representative emphasized the company’s commitment to sustainable development, noting that while it focuses on residential real estate, the environment and community well-being are central to all of its activities.
The effects of climate change, including saline intrusion and drought, are having a profound impact on local communities. Donating rainwater storage tanks not only helps residents collect water during the rainy season but also eases the strain on water supplies during the dry season.
“This initiative is our way of supporting local communities in overcoming their challenges and working towards a more sustainable future,” said the representative.
Each of the 100 households received two water tanks, sufficient to meet their basic needs during the dry months. The tanks are designed to be durable, easy to install, and well-suited to the local climate, ensuring long-term usage.
EZLand is committed not only to building high-quality projects for the Vietnamese mid-market but also to positively contributing to society and environmental protection. The company’s vision of sustainable development is reflected in its efforts to minimize ecological impact, respond to climate change, and improve community living standards. EZLand’s projects often incorporate green solutions, energy-saving features, and charitable initiatives such as clean water support, tree planting, and environmental education.
Residents in the supported communes expressed their appreciation for the company’s efforts. Vo Van Hai, a local resident from Tan Tap Commune, shared that his family had to wake up at 1–2 a.m. during last year’s dry season to queue for water, and even then, it was not enough. “Thanks to these water tanks, we feel more secure knowing we can store rainwater for later use,” he said.

The program provides both immediate relief and long-term benefits by raising awareness in the community about proactive solutions to drought and saline intrusion. It serves as a call to action for other businesses and organizations to join efforts in supporting communities affected by natural disasters.
“Through our initiatives, and with the collective efforts of the community and local authorities, we hope Can Giuoc will soon overcome these challenges and provide stable living conditions for its residents,” the EZLand representative concluded.
