Flights for the new service are now on sale, with operations scheduled three times a week. More than 34,000 seats will be offered on the route during the northern winter season, according to a statement from the airline on Wednesday.
The flights, which take about 10 hours, will be operated using the airline’s retrofitted Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

The carrier said the new route complements its existing Auckland-Singapore service and forms part of a broader capacity increase over the peak season, which will be announced in late May.
It added that new services between Christchurch and Narita (Tokyo) and Perth (Australia) will also be added by the end of November.
“The three new routes are a deliberate step to reconnect Christchurch directly to major global hubs in Asia, strengthen links into Australia, and change how the South Island connects to the world, including where visitors arrive and how they move through the country,” Air New Zealand CEO Nikhil Ravishankar said in a statement.
Air New Zealand previously flew from Christchurch to Singapore in 2020, to Perth in 2019, and to Narita in 2015.
Apart from Air New Zealand, Singapore Airlines also offers direct services between Singapore and Auckland.
