According to Dimsum Daily, the apartment, situated in the Hannam-dong neighborhood, is valued at 2.9 billion won (US$2 million). Beyond his real estate, the South Korean musician has a diverse portfolio, maintaining a career as a DJ, artist, and innovator in the NFT market.
According to the South China Morning Post, DJ Koo, now 56, initially gained fame as a backup dancer beginning in 1990. He later joined Clon, a duo known for pioneering a genre and producing hits such as “Kung Ddari Sha Bah Ra,” “Bing Bing Bing,” and “City Escape.” The group gained popularity in Taiwan and China, and DJ Koo continues his career as a music producer, DJ, and artist.
Pinkvilla notes that DJ Koo and Hsu first caught media attention as a couple in 1998. The Straits Times reported their first meeting occurred when DJ Koo was in Taiwan promoting his music and was interviewed by Hsu and her sister Dee Hsu, who co-hosted the entertainment show “100% Entertainment.”
Before their meeting, Hsu had publicly expressed her admiration for DJ Koo and her desire to marry him.
The couple initially separated in 2000 due to a dating ban imposed by DJ Koo’s management. They reignited their relationship following Hsu’s divorce from Wang and married in Feb. 2022.
Hsu’s passing at the age of 49 was confirmed by a statement from her sister Dee Hsu on Feb. 3. Her family has returned her ashes to Taiwan, and DJ Koo has waived his rights to inherit Hsu’s assets.
