The Vietnam Aptos Hackathon 2025 has officially concluded, representing a key milestone in the development of Vietnam’s Web3 ecosystem. The event provided a platform for developers, startups, and tech students. Supported by the Aptos Foundation and Kyros Ventures, over US$400,000 in cash and credits was awarded to the top teams, creating opportunities for Vietnam’s young innovators to advance their Web3 projects.

Running throughout July and culminating in a live final at GM Vietnam 2025 on Aug. 2, the hackathon brought together hundreds of developers, startups, and students nationwide. Participants built decentralized applications (dApps) on Aptos, a high-performance Layer 1 blockchain from the U.S., and incorporated cloud technology to support future scalability.
This wave of innovation occurs amid Vietnam’s rapid growth as one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-expanding digital economies. While startup activity, enterprise digitalization, and government technology initiatives advance quickly, Vietnamese developers require more than infrastructure; they need trusted partners and global platforms to turn their ideas into reality.
To support this, the Aptos Foundation partnered with Kyros Ventures, a leading Web3 incubator in Vietnam. Together, they are creating long-term infrastructure, investment channels, and educational programs designed to empower Vietnam’s next generation of builders to influence the future of Web3 both locally and internationally.
David Wolinsky, cofounder of Aptos and former technical lead of Facebook’s Diem project, highlighted Vietnam’s talented tech community.
“We aim to support them in building real products – not only through funding but by providing developer tools, infrastructure, and global access – from students and startups to large enterprises,” Wolinsky said. “Our partnership with Kyros Ventures reflects a shared belief that sustainable progress arises when world-class technology meets world-class talent in Vietnam.”

At the live finals at GM Vietnam, the top five teams presented their projects to an audience of investors, venture funds, and industry experts. Winners received funding from Aptos Build and Google Cloud (credits for eligible startups under the Google for Startups Cloud Program), cash prizes up to tens of thousands of dollars, and a three-month acceleration program, with potential direct investment from the Aptos Foundation and global partners.
These awards provide teams with resources and long-term support to develop further and scale their projects internationally.
