Three Uzbeks have been arrested for using counterfeit U.S. dollars on the tourism island of Phu Quoc to defraud people to the tune of VND200 million (US$7,900).
The police entered a facility in the Grand World entertainment complex and arrested Odiljon Nasyrov, Feruzbek Ernazarov and Isroil Rasulov Friday morning. They seized $22,000 worth of fake bills and over VND330 million from the trio.

In the last two months the police have received numerous complaints of fake dollar bills from restaurants, hotels and department stores.
The three men caused an estimated loss of VND200 million to local people, the police said, adding they constantly moved to avoid being apprehended.
