Kaopiz expands role in Japan’s digital transformation through AI automation

The company provides services designed to help enterprises improve operational resilience, enhance automation, and support data-driven decision-making.

Kaopiz has expanded its international cooperation through strategic memoranda of understanding with partners including Hammock, TigerEye, and Axonvis. These agreements are aimed at joint development in areas such as surveillance technology, automation solutions, and medical technology.

The company’s core competencies include AI solutions, cloud and DevOps services as a certified AWS Advanced Partner, DX system development, and QA automation with low-code and no-code platforms.

Operating across Vietnam, Japan, and Singapore, Kaopiz comprises six affiliated companies with more than 700 engineers. The company applies an agile delivery model combined with DevOps practices and structured quality assurance processes to support consistency and long-term system reliability for Japanese and international clients.

Legacy system modernization remains a key focus, particularly for long-running and mission-critical enterprise platforms. Kaopiz has developed a structured modernization framework that includes system re-engineering, re-platforming to cloud environments such as AWS and Azure, microservices decomposition, database modernization, UI and UX renewal, and hybrid migration approaches that allow new and legacy systems to operate in parallel.

The company also reports experience in COBOL-to-Java or .NET migrations, on-premise to cloud-native transitions, and large-scale automated testing. According to Kaopiz, these initiatives help reduce maintenance costs while improving system performance and scalability.

AI development represents another major area of activity. Kaopiz has delivered solutions in facial authentication and recognition, optical character recognition for enterprise document processing, and computer vision applications for workflow optimization. The company reports that its face recognition systems have been deployed across sectors such as hospitality, finance, and public services, contributing to reduced manual verification and improved identity management efficiency.

“These results reflect the maturity of our in-house AI models and our ability to deploy them at enterprise scale,” a company representative said.

Kaopiz also offers 24/7 system monitoring services designed to meet the reliability requirements of large enterprises. The platform provides real-time visibility, predictive alerts, and integration with DevOps pipelines, with reported improvements in system uptime and reductions in downtime for clients.

In addition, Kaopiz develops customized DX platforms using microservices and cloud-native architectures. The company reports improvements for Japanese clients in areas such as data processing speed, operational efficiency, and reporting accuracy following automation and system upgrades.

Recent projects include collaboration with a Japanese hospitality group to modernize reservation and membership systems. The project involved cloud-based platform development, AI-supported check-in processes, and enhanced monitoring and quality assurance.

Kaopiz has also supported digital transformation initiatives in manufacturing and finance, including microservices migration, predictive maintenance solutions, and cloud-based data pipelines to improve reporting accuracy and system stability.

The company plans to focus on AI-driven observability and DX intelligence, with the aim of further developing predictive and autonomous operations capabilities. From 2026 to 2030, Kaopiz targets expanded R&D in AI-based monitoring, continued growth in cloud and modernization services, workforce expansion, and deeper partnerships with Japanese and global enterprises.
